You’ve probably realized by now that this is not a complete, comprehensive reference. That’s because I don’t feel comfortable writing about the things I don’t know.

I initially build this site for me. It started off with the simple calculators because I got sick of always doing the math by hand… and then it grew from there as friends and family got bitten by the quilt bug and started to make quilts.

As I grow my skills as a quilter, certain areas will be expanded upon. Below are topics I someday hope to add. Further below are items I will probably never cover.

Skills I want to learn/expand on:

Pattern writing/testing
Bias binding/rounded corners on quilts
Quilt Repair
Creating bags (not just quilted bags!)
English Paper Piecing (EPP)
Color theory

Items I’m not interested in:

The finer points of fussy cutting
Clothing making (mentioned because of the quilt coats trend)
Machine embroidery

Tools I want to build:

Some kind of preview for colors/quilt blocks. I feel like I’m going to bite off more than I can chew with this one.
- Lets you choose colors for blocks (maybe upload fabrics/patterns?
- Lets you make quilt arrangements of blocks? (maybe just repeat blocks?)
- Add sashing/cornerstones
